Original Ballet Suite Poem Role Models

Ballet suite poem Role Models is the first stage artistic work based on the theme of promoting spirit of Lei Feng nationwide since General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech at the Symposium on Promoting the Revitalization of Northeast China on September 28.

Role Models demonstrates the theme by means of poetic dance vocabulary, and establishes the framework of text creation of dance poem through extracting the sections of Lei Feng's Diary as creation material. This product is composed for 5 chapters and displayed in a parallel structure “One Beam of Light” “One Seed” “One Drop of Water” “One Piece of Brick” “One Nail”. It comprehensively applies the performance techniques of classic ballet, neoclassical ballet and modern dance from virtuality to reality in artistic demonstration. Combined with the stage artistic means e.g. stage dispatching, set design and image background etc., it deeply explores the characteristics of dance art language so as to develop the stage artistic logic between dance performers “teenagers” and learning, inheriting the “Spirit of Lei Feng”.
